Who can see your generations on Mage? Nobody but you, unless you post one to Mage Social. Generations stay in your account on every plan including Free, and that is not a paid add-on or a setting you have to find.
What private means here
What makes something public
One thing: posting it to Mage Social. That is an action you take on a specific creation. Until you do, the creation stays in your account. Publishing a Character is a separate choice, and it publishes the character rather than your generations. See Mage Social and what gets posted.
What private does not mean
- Private means other users cannot see it. It does not mean Mage cannot see it. Content is subject to moderation, which is how the content rules are enforced.
- Models run by their lab pass your prompt to that lab. Generating on GPT Image 2, Grok, Nano Banana 2, or Veo means OpenAI, xAI, or Google sees the prompt and applies its own rules.
- Anything you share yourself, by link or by file, is outside Mage’s control from that point.
- Messages, Mage’s private sharing feature, shares with the people you send to.
Deleting things
You can delete individual creations, unpublish a Character, or delete the account and everything in it from the Account tab in Settings. Last modified on September 14, 2026
