Mage supports creative freedom within clear, lawful boundaries. The rules below are the boundaries that apply regardless of model or plan. The Terms and Conditions on mage.space carry the full list, and they are the same for everyone.

Prohibited on every model and plan

  • Any sexual content involving minors, real or generated, and any attempt to persuade or coerce a minor.
  • Non-consensual sexual content, including generated likenesses of real people, and sharing images of a person in a private space without their knowledge and consent.
  • Bullying and harassment of any kind.
  • Content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where it is created or distributed.
Mage moderates content at several layers to enforce these rules.

Real people and likeness

Generating a recognizable real person without their consent is not permitted. Building a Character from a photograph of a real person who has not consented falls under the same rule, and so does a voice cloned without consent. This matters for commercial work too: a likeness you do not have rights to is not usable regardless of Mage’s usage rights. See usage rights.

Models run by their lab

GPT Image 2, Grok Image, Grok Video, Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1 Lite, and Veo 3 are run by OpenAI, xAI, and Google. Their content rules apply to your prompts on Mage as they do elsewhere, and Mage cannot override them.

What you see and what you publish

What you generate and what appears in the public feed are governed separately. Your generations stay in your account, and nothing reaches Mage Social unless you post it. Mature Mode in Settings sets what can be shown to you. See Mage Social and what gets posted.
