Which models support frame controls
On Cherry the first frame is available in Advanced only.
On Berry, Lemon, Melon, MiniMax-H3, and Plum, frame mode and reference mode
are separate. One generation pins frames, or carries Characters and
References, not both.
How to use First and Last Frames
- Generate or choose your first frame as an image.
- Generate or choose your last frame, if you want the ending pinned too.
- Switch to video and pick a model from the table above.
- Attach the first frame, and the last frame if you have one.
- Describe the motion between them in the prompt. This is the part the model is generating.
- Generate.
Chaining clips
Frame control builds a sequence that connects. Use the last frame of one clip as the first frame of the next, and the cut is continuous. Storyboard then stitches the clips into one sequence. See Storyboard, Story Studio, and Autocreate.Limitations
- The two frames have to be plausibly connected. If they show different rooms, the model invents a transition, and it usually reads as a dissolve or a glitch.
- Frame control is not character consistency. Pinning two frames of the same person does not guarantee the face stays right in between.
