Overview
What Inpaint is for
- Fixing hands, which is where image models fail most often
- Removing an object without recomposing the shot
- Changing one element while a set stays consistent
- Adding something the original prompt missed
How to use Inpaint
- Open Inpaint and upload your image.
- Mask the region you want changed. Mask slightly wider than the object itself, so the model has room to blend.
- Describe what should be there. An empty wooden table works better than remove the cup.
- Run it. If the join shows, re-mask a little wider and try again.
Limitations
- Masking too tightly is the most common mistake. The model needs surrounding context to match lighting and texture.
- It edits, it does not restructure. A change to the composition or the perspective needs a new generation.
