Mage skills are Agent Skills: folders of instructions an AI agent loads when a request matches them. Each one teaches the agent a complete job, such as a product photoshoot or an ad resize, and runs it on Mage’s image, video, and audio models through the MCP server. Every generation is paid in Gems from your account, and every skill quotes the price before it runs anything big.
The skills are in beta at 0.x, so their workflows may still change.

Connect Mage

Add the Mage connector to your agent and sign in, as in Use Mage from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, and Cursor. In Claude Code:

Add the skills

One command adds every skill to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other agents that load SKILL.md skills:
In Claude Code you can install them as a plugin instead, with /plugin marketplace add mage-space/skills and then /plugin install mage@mage. In Claude, upload a zipped skill folder under Customize → Skills; skills there need code execution turned on.

Ask for the job

Describe what you want, for example “Shoot three lifestyle photos of my product”, or call a skill by name, such as /mage-product-photoshoot.

Each skill’s page shows a real run: the conversation, the Gems it cost, and the results.

How they work

A skill never calls Mage directly. It tells the agent which MCP tools to use and how: pick a model with list_models and get_model, price the work with estimate_cost, start it with generate, and wait with get_request. Pricing, moderation, billing, and limits are the same as everywhere else in Mage.
  • You approve the spend. Skills quote the total in Gems before a batch or a video and wait for a yes.
  • Files are links. Skills take https links to images and video. Agents that run commands upload local files with create_upload; a file attached to a chat never reaches Mage.
  • Output is truthful. Skills don’t invent product facts, results, reviews, or quotes, and the faceless video skill researches real topics.
  • Results last 30 days. Download what you want to keep, or save it in Mage.

Run npx skills add mage-space/skills again, or /plugin update mage@mage in Claude Code.
