# Your settings

> What is in Mage's settings and what each tab controls: Mature Mode, your Gem balances and Auto Top-Up, import jobs, and how to reach Mage.

Settings holds two decisions worth making early: whether Mature Mode is on, and whether Auto Top-Up is on. The rest of this page is a tour of the other tabs.

## What is in Settings

| Tab     | What it holds                                                                              |
| ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Account | Your email, user ID, membership, and verification status. Account deletion lives here too. |
| Content | Mature Mode and the content rating notice.                                                 |
| Gems    | Your Gem balances, Auto Top-Up, and your transaction history.                              |
| Jobs    | Custom model imports and their status.                                                     |
| Contact | How to reach Mage, and the Discord link.                                                   |

## Mature Mode

Under Content there is a Mature Mode switch. It controls what can be shown to you and applies everywhere until you change it. It does not change what is permitted on Mage, which the Terms and Conditions set for everyone, and it does not make anything you generate public. ## Your Gem balances

Gems arrive from three places and Mage tracks them separately, because they do not all behave the same way.

| Balance         | Where it comes from                         | Expiry                                    |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Membership Gems | Your plan, deposited each month             | 30 days after deposit                     |
| Purchased Gems  | Gem packages, on any account including Free | 90 days after purchase                    |

Auto Top-Up lives under the Gems tab and buys more Gems when you run low. It is worth turning on before a long video batch and unnecessary if you generate inside your plan's unlimited ceiling.

## Privacy, which needs no setup

Everything you generate stays in your account. A creation becomes visible to other people only when you post it. See [why Mage is private by default](/privacy/private-by-default).
