# The Pony family

> Generate with Pony fine-tunes in the browser on Mage: SDXL-based community checkpoints in the model catalog, unlimited from Basic.

Pony is an image model family known for character work and a large community fine-tune catalog. There is no base model on Mage called Pony. The catalog holds Pony checkpoints, hosted on Mage's GPUs, so they work in a browser tab with no local install.

## Limitations

* Pony checkpoints are SDXL-based, so anything trained for SDXL generally loads against them, and they are not connected to Characters or References.
* Prompt adherence is weaker than Flux 2 or Mango 3, and text inside an image usually comes out wrong.
