# Pear and Motion Control

> Pear is the model behind Motion Control on Mage: it transfers the movement in a reference video onto one of your Characters. Unlimited on Max up to 8 seconds.

Pear is the model behind Motion Control. You supply a reference video and a Character, and the movement in the video is transferred onto the Character. It is reached from the Motion Control page on mage.space rather than the model picker.

## Unlimited generation by plan

Pear runs unlimited on Max for clips up to 8 seconds. Longer clips run on Gems on every plan, and there is no unlimited tier below Max.

## Best for

* A specific movement you can film or find but not describe
* Dance, gesture, and performance
* Keeping the timing of a real performance

## Limitations

* Unlimited on Max covers clips up to 8 seconds. Longer clips run on Gems on every plan.
* The output is only as good as the reference video. Fast, cluttered, or partly hidden movement transfers badly.
