# Flux, Flux 2, and Flux Kontext Dev

> Three Flux-based models on Mage: Flux with the Schnell, Dev, and Dev Krea variants, Flux 2 for generation and multi-reference edits, and Flux Kontext Dev for instruction edits. Unlimited from Basic.

Three Flux-based models run on Mage. Flux comes as Flux Schnell, Flux Dev, and Flux Dev Krea. Flux 2 handles generation and edits from up to 3 input images. Flux Kontext Dev edits an input image from a text instruction. All three are unlimited from Basic, with Flux 2 at 2K starting on Pro.

## Unlimited generation by plan

Which plan runs each resolution unlimited, at the model's base settings. Gems means that setting always costs Gems on that plan.

Add-ons such as LoRAs, ControlNet, extra reference images, or reference videos may raise a run's price and move it to a higher plan or to Gems.

## Best for

* Long prompts with several conditions

## Limitations

* None of the three is connected to Characters or References.
* Flux 2 takes no LoRAs and has no negative prompt field. Flux and Flux Kontext Dev take LoRAs but have no negative prompt either.
* Flux Kontext Dev requires an input image.
