# Mage documentation

> How Mage works: the image, video, and audio models you can run, the apps built on them, membership plans, Gems, and the rules for what you can create.

Mage is an AI image, video, and audio generation platform. You pick a model, write a prompt, and generate in the browser. Membership plans unlock unlimited generation on eligible models, and Gems pay for everything else.
