# Importing custom models

> Import your own checkpoints, LoRAs, Textual Inversions, and Lycoris into Mage on Pro Plus and Max, from CivitAI, Hugging Face, or Google Drive.

On Pro Plus and Max you can bring your own models to Mage. Import a checkpoint, LoRA, Textual Inversion, or Lycoris from a CivitAI or Hugging Face link, or from Google Drive, and run it on Mage's GPUs with no local setup.

## How to import a custom model

1. Confirm you are on Pro Plus or Max.
2. Copy the model's URL from CivitAI or Hugging Face, or get a shareable Google Drive link.
3. Open Import on mage.space and paste the link.
4. Pick the type and the base architecture. Getting this wrong is the most common reason an import fails to load.
5. Import. Progress shows under Jobs in Settings, and the model appears in your own model picker once processing finishes.

## Limitations

* The architecture has to match: an SDXL LoRA against a Flux base fails or produces noise. Check the model card for what it was trained on.
* You are running on Mage's hardware, so custom node graphs, extensions, and shell access do not come with it.
